Born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Hermann Pirela is the second of three siblings. His passion for medicine was ignited by his father, a respected pediatrician known for his dedication to his patients. Hermann strives to embody this commitment to compassionate care in his work every day with his clients.

Graduating as a Medical Surgeon in 1997 and specializing in Gynecology & Obstetrics in 2004 from the University of Zulia, his career expanded further with a diploma as an Ultrasound Specialist in 2005.

In 2012, faced with Venezuela’s socio-economic-political crisis, Hermann and his family relocated to Canada to start anew. In Calgary, Hermann focused his practice on aesthetics, becoming a Certified Advanced Clinical Aesthetician and establishing Innovative Aesthetics Solutions, offering cutting-edge treatments and developing unique techniques. 

Additionally, his passion for teaching has led him to participate in research projects with AlumierMD and serve as a clinical and surgical trainer for INMODE until 2023. Hermann is currently sharing his knowledge and expertise with other practitioners through the creation of IAS Education.

Outside of his professional life, Hermann began practicing Karate at age nine and attained a 6th Dan black belt, eventually opening Tanabe Dojo in SW Calgary. He also enjoys traveling, biking, hiking, and automobilism. Hermann’s diverse experiences and dedication to both medicine and martial arts reflect his commitment to excellence and continuous growth in all areas of life.
